Hello everyone!
I hope everyone has been all well and happy. In Finland it’s so white now everywhere because of the snow that has rained a lot in the last few days. Today I wanted to talk about the symbolism of the Lotus flower, that has risen to be in our Rainbow Lotus Brand logo. Google says the next about the Lotus flower symbolism:
” Because lotuses rise from the mud without stains, they are often viewed as a symbol of purity. Since they return to the murky water each evening and open their blooms at the break of day, lotus flowers are also symbols of strength, resilience, and rebirth. “
That’s it. The Lotus Flower has many ties to spiritual symbolism and that’s why I gravitated towards it years ago, when I used to read spiritual books more.
In Buddhism, this is what is tied to Lotus flower often:
“The Buddha, in his enlightenment state, is often portrayed seated upon an open lotus flower, and in all the forms of Buddhism the lotus is symbolic of the highest spiritual attainment. In Asian art works, buddhas and bodhisattvas are frequently shown seated on lotus flowers.”
And in the Hinduism:
“The lotus flower is sacred in Hinduism. It symbolizes beauty, fertility, prosperity, spirituality, and eternity. These are some pretty significant ideals, and all have the white lotus representing them. Many Hindu deities hold or associate themselves with lotus flowers.”
There you go everyone. Now you know a little background about the symbolism of the Lotus flower.
Stay well everyone!
-Best wishes, Konsta
